Produced in the Aigues-Mortes Camargue, France. It is gathered from the salt-pan at Aigues-Mortes, a protected area of untamed land where wildlife and flora remain untouched. These fine grain sea salts are obtained by natural evaporation of the sea water. Salt has been gathered at this location since the Roman engineer, Peccius, was in charge of production. Rich in sodium chloride and with trace elements of calcium and magnesium, they are perfect for salt scrub treatments and hot baths.
